In November 2008, Eddy Weemaes created Horios bvba after a career of more than 22 years in world leading petrochemical companies. Having lived in several continents and travelled & worked extensively around the world, he has spent several years developing his leadership and team building concept, to address some specific problems not addressed by conventional training.
Simultaneaously, he was also able to test the concept with the different personalities and teams he managed, through different challenging business situations.
The ‘Harmo' concept is used in all four offers; Leadership building (Harmo© Leader), Teambuilding (Harmo© Team), Coaching (Harmo© Coach) and business Consulting (Harmo© Consult). Traditional training & consulting methods are combined with a variety of creative tools and brought in a pragmatic way.
One element of the creativity is the use of powerful music metaphors to strengthen the key element of the concept which is HARMONY / BALANCE. In depth research into psychology and music science has augmented the practical business experience.
Our aspiration is that after the trainings, people will talk about, and practice the content of the sessions for a very long time. The commitment is that successful trainees will be clearly identifiable from the way they cooperate with their team colleague’s and/or team members.
Another element of the creativity is the use of the ‘Appreciative Inquiry’ method. This proven method is fairly new in the Benelux, but already successfully embedded in world leading companies and organizations.
Horios bvba focuses on training executive management teams and team leaders in a brand new original and exciting way. People will feel refreshed after the training/coaching/consulting although often emotions will have been deeply touched throughout the sessions.
Next to the coaching and consulting offer, we focus on people and team development. Studies have shown that exco’s fear that their competitiveness is endangered by lack of leadership talent. They conclude that the main reason for failing leadership is not just the lack of motivation, experience of technical capabilities, but the main reason is the lack of interpersonal and leadership skills.
